Cadbury’s Purple and Gogol Bordello

Yesterday my aunt described a color as Cadbury’s purple. I remembered that Cadbury’s got exclusive rights to that purple color so it did not seem too odd that my English auntie would use that name for a purple.

But what my mind turned immediately to, because my mind works in music, Gogol Bordello’s “Start Wearing Purple”

Gogol Bordello is a Gypsy Punk band. The song “Start Wearing Purple”.

Gypsy Punk is a musical genre that mixes traditional Romani music and Punk Rock.

Gogol Bordello brought knowledge to a wider audience about the genre with their album Gypsy Punks: Underdog World Strike.

Gypsy Punk has become a new interest for me. I really love the sound and the anthropological aspect of the genre.

So I do not think that the song “Start Wearing Purple” had to much to do with Cadbury’s purple other than a winding mind train that is my thought process, but nevertheless it helps me introduce one of my favorite genres to “Musical Chairs”.

And to end the post, have some live Gogol Bordello.
